We recognise the immense potential of generative AI as a valuable tool for enriching the educational experience and equipping students with the skills necessary for future workplaces. Nevertheless, it is also important to be mindful of the risks associated with its use, particularly in assessments. Join us for a webinar that delves into the responsible integration of generative AI to enhance teaching, learning and assessment within the context of Innovation Management.
In this session, Dr Katharina De Vita will introduce the AI Risk Measure Scale (ARMS) which is a tool specifically designed to help academic staff evaluate the potential risk associated with students utilising generative AI tools in their assignments. Katharina will provide insights into how ARMS works in practice and how institutional policies have been changed to embrace the responsible use of generative AI. The webinar will also introduce an example from an undergraduate innovation module where students collaborate in small teams to generate innovative ideas for products, services, or business models using ChatGPT. In this webinar, we will discuss the human element in this activity and how we can nurture students' ability to critically evaluate information, helping them determine the accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriateness of AI-generated output.
