We warmly welcome you to the next session in the “Coffee for Thoughts” series, a space designed to spark meaningful dialogue and inspire fresh thinking around pressing topics in social innovation and social impact.
These short, coffee-length conversations create opportunities for peers, thought leaders, and changemakers to exchange ideas, explore emerging research, and reflect on the evolving landscape of innovation and society, with a focus on fostering meaningful change and shaping positive futures together.
The AI alignment problem (i.e. aligning AI performance with human values) is the great challenge for AI development and adaption, and already was at the heart of governance conflicts in Open AI. The alignment challenge reaches beyond technological research and safety measures (such as those explored in the superalignment project) into the design of values-aligned business models for AI companies. The presentation explores the question of how we could remodel AI business in line with European values and those of sustainable development.
