Innovation Communities: A conversation about motivations and incentives

This fireside chat between Jana Gallus, UCLA, and Frank Piller, RWTH Aachen, investigates an old topic from a fresh perspective: Communities for innovation. While the role and impact of communities for innovation is well known, companies and non-profit organizations alike often still challenge how to build and motivate communities for the innovation endeavors -- and how to co-create for the greater good. Using #RunTheWorld as a case study, a running community to unite people around the world to run global marathons (despite the pandemic), Jana and Frank will discuss how to utilize the power of communities -- and also give back to them.

This fireside chat was delivered simultaneously at the 32nd ISPIM Innovation Conference and the International Open and User Innovation (OUI) Conference on 21 June 2021.
